04:52 – Q2:I own Newcrest mining shares and am trying to figure out the scenarios of the takeover with Newmont. from what I read they rejected the first two offers as being too low maybe around the $27 AUD mark the third offer was accepted supposedly worth $32 AUD now with NEM shares falling from $52 US to $38 US that makes the deal worth $24 AUD lower than the original two bids that where rejected. why is this deal still in play? or do they need to go through the process and see if it’s voted down at the share holders meeting coming up very soon. its a bit hard to figure out. Certainly don’t want to be taken out with a NEM share price at $38. Who would want this deal to go through at this price?
