In this episode of Virtually Live, Shannon Rivkin covers: Star Entertainment Group (SGR), Sonic Healthcare (SHL), ANZ Group Holdings (ANZ) and more.

In this week’s show

01:21 – Q1:Can I ask what you make of the recent announcement of an investigation into Star Entertainment Group and the subsequent drop in the share price?

04:33 – Q2:1.Given all the recent share price activity and media hype, I’m Really interested to hear your views on the prospects for Coles and Woolworths in the short-term medium term both from a fundamental and market sentiment perspective?

2.Can I please have your views on Sonic Healthcare SHL? Most agree that the healthcare sector could be in for a good year in 2024, and despite their half year result this week, Sonic seems like a decent business, but the market doesn’t seem to agree. What do you think?

09:31 – Q3:I would appreciate any thoughts regarding ANZ acquiring Suncorps’s banking division. I wonder what successful conclusion would mean for its longer term income, and the impact on ANZ’s franking credits. ANZ is not a simple “+43%”. I currently hold ANZ in my SMSF. I note that Jarden have just increased their valuation to $29.00. I am considering increasing my holding.

14:07 – Q4:1.Why did you sell off CBA. Seems like a bad thing to me in Australia blue chip?

2. Is south 32 worth buying while it is low share price. Do you think it will rise again?

18:16 – Q5:The tenement MLM holds is within mitsubishis long term mining structure and Mitsubishi would be foolish to let it slip out their grasp to another silica player. I’ve been very patient with one and surprised it’s taken this long however Covid screwed things up across the board so it’s understandable it’s taken this long.

20:56 – Q6: We seem have a residual amount of PRT ‘shares’ although I thought the event trade had concluded. My shares have now been transferred to an Issuer Sponsored Holding. As the company is delisted are these of any value?
