Rivkin holds Resolute Mining in the ASX Starter Pack. The company released its results for the half year ended 30 June 2026 on Thursday 20 August, reporting in US dollars.
Revenue rose 31% to US$584.7 million from US$447.5 million, and net profit after tax reached US$162.6 million against US$71.0 million a year earlier. Profit attributable to owners came in at US$128.2 million, or 5.94 US cents per share, up from 2.89 cents. EBITDA rose 42% to US$323.9 million. Brokers do not publish a widely followed half-year consensus for Resolute, so the prior corresponding period remains the practical benchmark.
Gold sales carried the result. Resolute sold 123,951 ounces at an average realised price of US$4,712 an ounce while producing 104,795 ounces, down from 151,460 ounces, with the shortfall coming from Syama in Mali. All-in sustaining costs climbed to US$2,327 an ounce from US$1,688. Operating cash flow more than doubled to US$277.6 million, and capital expenditure rose to US$96.9 million from US$57.8 million.

The balance sheet finished the period with US$332.7 million in cash and bullion and a net cash position of US$317.4 million, up from US$111.3 million. Directors declared no interim dividend, matching the prior year. The Senegalese subsidiary Petowal Mining Company declared a US$121.3 million dividend in June, of which US$12.1 million went to the Government of Senegal as minority shareholder.
Management held full-year production guidance around the lower end of the 250,000 to 275,000 ounce range and kept group AISC guidance at US$2,000 to US$2,200 an ounce, noting the figure “is subject to change with elevated gold prices and higher fuel costs.” Chief executive Chris Eger said: “Resolute has delivered a strong first half of 2026, generating significant operating cash flow and ending the period with a net cash position of US$317.4 million.” The company reiterated its target of more than 500,000 ounces a year by the end of 2028, with Doropo in Cote d’Ivoire targeting first gold in the second half of 2028. Resolute has secured US$155 million of local bank financing for Doropo and expects a further US$105 million in the third quarter.
Shares closed at A$1.265 on the day, up 8.1%.
