(and Americans thinking that inflation and prices will go lower!?) Question – DRO went backwards is this a better time to enter the stock or could it lose its US contracts? Question – due to impending import tariff policy is it a time to trim RIO and FMG as their exposure to China could be hit with demand reductions ( or the perception thereof?) Question – do the Australian banks come back into favour or will extended higher interest rates and therefore bad loans lead hit the sector or are they adequately priced for that scenario?

12:24 – Q2:Should we vote to accept the offer from Charter Hall of $3.85 for HPI? The offer closes on the 26/11 at 7pm. I watched the Events Portfolio Video Update last Thursday 7/11 but it wasn’t clear if we should accept or wait in the hope of a better offer?

14:56 – Q3:LIC and LIF appear to be mandated to regularly report their NTA values. Which should I take most notice of ? The before tax value or after tax value? They more often than not trade a a price below NTA. As the NTA decreases it seems that the market reacts to this and so market price follows downwards. What are the main causes of decrease to NTA ? Issue of more shares, paying out too much in dividends, operating costs too high which includes high payments to staff ?
