In this episode of Virtually Live, Shannon Rivkin covers: Qube Holdings (QUB), Plato Income Maximiser (PL8), Whitefield Income (WHI) and more.
00:41 – Q1: Technology One recently dropped off ASX growth. Morningstar suggests it’s undervalued. Also noticed there was a concern about their CEO. What’s your analysis for short -medium term?
05:42 – Q2: Could you share your thoughts on Australian Gov bonds… particularly GSGK54 which is one of the highest paying yield at 4.75%.
I’m puzzled with the arbitrage that seems to be going on in this particular bond, typically $1m buy sell spread and most recently $5m buy sell spread. Considering that in the week leading to the ex-dividend on 11th of December, the arbitrage was pushing the price lower and lower from about $97 to as low as $95 the day prior to ex dividend.
I was hoping you could shed some light on what this arbitrage is and why it happens… is it arbitrage by RBA or money markets or something else? since typically the bond tends to get closer to $100 as it gets close to the ex dividenddate.
09:33 – Q3: I assume for long term holders of Qube, your advice is to continue to hold? PS: I’ve doubled my money since 2020, plus dividends. 56 is now 116, “you can add the noughts”!
12:10 – Q4: I am interested in building up a holding in a stock which pays a franked dividend on a monthly basis, while preserving capital. I am considering either Plato Income Maximiser (PL8) or Whitefield Income (WHI). I would be interested in your comments on these, and whether there are any others I should consider.
